Determination of Mestranol and Norethindrone in Contraceptive Preparations.

Abstract

|
A method has been deviced for the official method of analysis of 17α-ethinylestradiol 3-methyl ether and 17α-ethinyl-19-norotestosterone mixture in oral contraceptives. The method is based on the separation of selective organic solvent and determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry. The methylcylohexane extract of Mestranol is determined at 287.7㎛ and the ethanol extract of nerethindrone is determined at 239~240㎛ respectively.
